Land slip to a private dwelling - Phase 1
J.T.S. undertook the task of stabilizing the ground of a private dwelling in Milford, Kent. The first stage of the works was to remove the old patio area which remained of the client’s old garden.
We then had to create a 2.8m high by 12m long, 70 degree slope to enable us to install the 6m long self-drilling soil nails. The final stage of the upper section was to erect a protective geotextile membrane and mini gabion baskets to finish the project to the customers’ specifications and make the works aesthetically pleasing as it had to be viewed by the customer on a daily basis.
Then we installed a further three rows of soil nails to the lower section of the garden. This section was finished in a more cost effective method because this will not be seen at the end of the project because of the new patio decking that will come to the same height of the upper stone faced retaining wall.
