Installion of Reinforced concrete King Post Wall to support the existing boundary wall to the rear of a school.

The project was designed to stabilise the existing boundary wall to the rear of a primary school in North London. The works had to be undertaken during the school holidays to minimise disruption to the pupils. Due to the restricted time the design had to retain the existing failing boundary wall rather than replace it. Access to the area was restricted due to the proximity of the existing school building, restricting the size of plant which could be utilised. Due to the limited access all the materials had to be moved to the works area manually and in order to lift the reinforced concrete panels into place a spider crane was employed. This required additional training to operate the plant. The contract was completed within the required time and to the clients satisfaction.

The overall length of the new wall was 150m and the height was 2m.
